The successful candidate will have the following:
Minimum of four years experience and/or training in a global supply chain management or related environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in a related field preferred.
Must be familiar with MRP/ERP and/or supply chain systems and possess proficiency in the use of desktop applications and Windows-based programs with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills, highly effective written and verbal communication skills, and good follow-through skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.
Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin helpful but not required.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
Establish collaborative relationships with Supply Chain to ensure availability and the timely delivery of products.
Respond to MRP action messages, taking appropriate action with the suppliers.
Participate in the process of building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and interact with the supplier community while adhering to the company standards and codes of ethics.
Own replenishment responsibilities for specific product categories and suppliers. Manage overall stock balances within this responsibility.
Coordinate with category management and sales teams to determine stock levels.
Ensure stock levels are adequate to support demand requirements.
Drive category inventory turn performance by streamlining stock levels to maximize profitability of the overall product category.
Maintain data integrity within the purchasing area of the business systems (E.g. delivery dates, promise dates, etc.) and all supporting files.
Perform administrative duties necessary to maintain purchasing data files including data entry.
Perform all other duties as directed by Purchasing Manager.
