EVENT MANAGER
The Event Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of the high level events promoted by the company. Responsible for leading and overseeing the Event Project Managers and will lead this team in all field events from start to finish, ensuring the flawless execution of all events on time and on budget.
Primary Position Responsibilities- Responsible for mentoring, managing and leading all Event Project Managers.
- Responsible for working in conjunction with the Project Manager, Events and ensuring that all production schedule deadlines are being met.
- In depth knowledge of housing contracts and attrition policies.
- Will ensure that the company is contracting the appropriate housing needs and ensuring that all attrition is avoided.
- In depth knowledge of facilities/venues across the country that can handle the magnitude of events that the company promotes.
- Overseeing venue contracts and that all of the policies and procedures are in line with a company function and that these policies and procedures are being met.
- Once budgets are established for each event ensures that these budget guidelines are being managed and costs are being met.
- Ensure resources for global events are met.
- Streamline processes to increase efficiency.
- Ability to travel to all events, meetings and site inspections as needed.
- Work in conjunction on the choosing of future venues for events and creating the presentations for the Executive Team.
- Strong contract negotiation skills.
- Develop and manage feedback and tracking systems to continually evaluate and improve the department’s efficiency and make suggestions for future event improvement.
- Maintain useful and comprehensive records of event processes and results, including all sample marketing, housing, communications, timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
Education: Technical/Industry Requirements- 8+years Corporate Event experience
- CMP Preferred
- Network Marketing Event experience a plus
- Experience working in a large, fast paced, corporate environment is preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong leadership and management skills
- A/V Knowledge a plus
- Video Production knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of planning/managing large events for 5,000 plus attendees
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving and presentation skills
- Timeline Management
- Proficient in MS Word (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Extremely detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
- Desire and ability to learn new technology and software programs
