WebSphere ESB Administrator

This position is for a large, stable distribution company headquartered in Irvine, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for building and managing the ESB infrastructure. The technologies involved are WebSphere MQ, WebSphere MB, WebSphere BI, Adapters such as JDBC, PM4Data, etc.

Reports to Manager Open Systems.

• Responsible to design, build and manage highly available ESB infrastructure.
• Responsible for 24x7 production support.
• Strong skills of troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Excellent people skills. Ability to work across multiple IT and business teams.
• Strong communications skills, both in writing and speaking.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to remain flexible in ever changing environment.
• WebSphere MQ
  • 2-3 years experiences on WMQ (V6.0 or V5.3) administration on UNIX
  • Hands-on experience with WMQ installations/set up/configuration
  • Must have WMQ Cluster design, set up, and administration experience
  • Must have WMQ monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and management experience
  • WMQ security design and implementation (Object Authority Manager, OAM, and SSL), any end-to-end data protection knowledge
• WebSphere Message Broker
  • 2-3 years experience on WMB (V6 or V5) administration on UNIX
  • Hands-on experience with WMB installation/set up/configuration
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus, ESB architecture
  • Must know how to implement broker topology
  • Must know how to deploy/promote message flows and message sets
  • Must have WMB monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and management experiences
  • Broker and configuration manager security design and implementation
• WebSphere Business Integration Adapter
• 1 year experience on WBIA for JDBC (V2.6) administration on UNIX
• Know the adapter installation and maintenance
• Must know how to configure and deploy the JDBC connectors including the connector configuration GUI and the connector deployment
• Know how to use Object Discovery Agent, ODA to support development of Business Object
• Know how to troubleshoot and manager multi-instance of connectors
• WebSphere Partner Gateway
  • Know installation and maintenance on UNIX
  • Knowledge of WPG architecture including B2B solutions, security, and the major
  • components as Receiver, Document Manager, and Community Consol built on top of imbedded WebSphere Application Server V6.0
  • Know how to install and configure WPG V6.0
  • Know how to troubleshoot
• DB2 UDB (optional)
  • Know installation and maintenance on UNIX as the database is being used for WMB and WPG
  • Must know how to create database instance and configure database client
  • Know how to manage the database through DB2 Control Center GUI
